I do miss the old two tone pickups.A fun Google search is "classic truck color schemes", and select images. Might give you guys some ideas.

They do have Black and Brown seat covers besides the default in the Maker app.I do hope Slate can incorporate some interior color palette's for different seat cover colors, or vendors to help with interior customization.
Also hope are ordered bypanel. I would like my rear and tailgate too match the bottom color.

It's clearly missing context as all AI are, considering the (newer model year) doesn't apply here I don't think. Maybe there's a method to it but I always assumed its random. I will say, there is still more codes out there that don't fit this or at least, not the first letter.I was actually curious about how Slate's unique share code works and attempt to decode it. I consulted an AI model to help crack the code. Finally, an AI response that is useful and we can all agree upon.
1️⃣ First Character — Body Style
This one is the most consistent and easiest to decode.
Code Letter Meaning Evidence Z SUV Kit ZJ12ZN, ZAMSYE X SUV Kit (variant) X2TE8Q, X6ZQRC R Pickup RZXECV L Pickup LL2RBL F Pickup FF1VGC J SUV Kit (newer model year) JRUWSY
Rule: Z/X/J = SUV R/L/F = Pickup
2️⃣ Second Character — Exterior Package Level
This encodes how complex or loaded the exterior is.
Code Exterior Meaning Evidence J Premium exterior (bumpers, flares, running boards) ZJ12ZN A SUV + Open Air + roof rack ZAMSYE 6 Maximalist exterior (rack extension, spare tire, decals) X6ZQRC 2 Minimal exterior X2TE8Q L Pickup with moderate accessories LL2RBL F Pickup with gloss wrap only FF1VGC R SUV with roof rack + spare tire JRUWSY
Rule: Higher complexity → higher “intensity” letter/number.
3️⃣ Middle Characters (2–3 chars) — Wheels, Lift, Tires, Lighting
These characters encode chassis‑related choices.
Code Meaning Evidence 12 Lift Kit + 20" Alloy Wheels ZJ12ZN ZQ Lift + off‑road tires + lighting X6ZQRC TE 17" tires + no lift X2TE8Q 2R Lowering kit + 17" tires LL2RBL UW 17" tires, no lift JRUWSY 1V Lowering kit + 17" tires FF1VGC
Rule: Numbers usually indicate lift or wheel size. Letters indicate tire type, lighting, or accents.
4️⃣ Last 1–2 Characters — Interior Theme + Tech Loadout
This is where interior color, accents, and tech level are encoded.
Code Meaning Evidence ZN Premium black interior + full tech ZJ12ZN YE Mixed interior + decals ZAMSYE 8Q Retro interior + BYO speakers X2TE8Q BL Basic black interior LL2RBL RC Multi‑tone interior + full tech X6ZQRC SY Basic interior + minimal tech JRUWSY GC Minimal interior + basic tech FF1VGC
Rule:
J = Premium exterior
- Z / R = premium interior themes
- N / C = full tech
- L / Y / G = basic or minimal tech
- Q / E = decorative or retro interiors
- 12 = Lift + 20s
- ZN = Premium interior + full tech
Well done. I stumbled on some data that contains non-released stuff. Hence some of the build configs just say an accessory ID because they are not named yet. I emailed Slate. No responses yet. Not sure if I should post or not.I was actually curious how Slate's share code works and attempt to decode it. I consulted an AI model to help crack the code. Yeah i feel like the Share codes are just random. The ID for the base truck is TB009. The SUV and Fastback are the same with a hyphen. TB009-Fastback and TB009-SUVFor instance, here's two of my other configs that don't quite follow.

I remember seeing an image with every Super Bowl winner represented by a slate truck wrapped in the teams color. As a Packer fan I remember seeing the first two trucks being yellow on top and green on bottom. For sports teams, wraps to match the team are easy. Just do different parts of the wrap in the team colors for a somewhat subtle look without the team name, and if you want to go further add decals with the team name, logo, mascot, player's jersey number, player's image, however far you want to go.

Well, my idea was that Slate would work out licensing with the leagues. Are there any trademark issues if some baseball fanatic decides to use an unofficial MLB team logo decal on their Slate, say LA Dodgers or NY Yankees? Any trademark lawyers out there care to weigh in?
I keep imagining a folding bench seat in the bed. I just do not care for the thick roll cage of open-air kit. So, it is a kind of place holder for a universal support; What purpose would a single roof rack tower serve?
It probably comes down to making money on it. If you make it for yourself, for personal use, shouldn't be a problem as long as there isn't the threat of it looking like it's a team vehicle or something. Are there any trademark issues if some baseball fanatic decides to use an unofficial MLB team logo decal on their Slate, say LA Dodgers or NY Yankees?
