According to Ford's builder "Total MSRP" is $30,685. To that, you have to add the dealer fee which is $1-2k where I live.

Curious to know what fees apply on top of Slate's price. I've seen Slate talk about how dealers and other brands have all of the added fees... I'm curious to see what fees the slate will have.

I went on a quick look-see to Conway Ford in Conway, SC -- found some Mavericks for $29K+. Their website, as an example, might be very different than Autotrader or other outlets, but I found these 2 at, or slightly below MSRP. These dealers are sneaky.

Autotrader is very sneaky. They often add up all available rebates even though only one can be applied at any time.

For these reasons you really can only go off MSRP plus around $2k in fees. Like I was saying earlier, finding a few unicorns doesn't count. Also it seems likely based on news report and the upcoming Ranchero, Ford is moving the Maverick prices up.

I wonder how they would box it up for the ups man. Slate should ikea it just send the parts in a couple boxes and we can assemble it and knock 5k off of it.

I don’t care if any pickup including the Maverick is even $5k less than the Slate, if it uses gas that is an automatic No, if it has 4 doors that's a No, if it has a CVT then that goes double.
