I sent Slate an email with my suggestion for the tailgate…. If their final production decision is to have embossed raised letters on the tailgate, at least offer a smooth unlettered tailgate body panel as an accessory that can replace the stock panel. I think that the supplier should be able to make unlettered body panels since that’s what Slate had in their original prototype.

This one looks like wrap over a cut vinyl logo on a flat panel. But is it representative of the current direction? We'll probably have to wait until our crack team of investigators returns from Huntington Beach.

Have to be careful sanding plastic, most machine belt sanders run too fast and will melt the plastic. Best to do it by hand.

My belief is removing the company’s logo just makes me think they are ashamed they bought it. LOL
Dealer logos are a different story though.

According to a chat I just had with a rep from Slate on the website, this will be imprinted on the tailgate. She couldn't confirm how, but is planning to get back to me on it. 🤷‍♂️

Leaving it flat and providing a way to do it under a wrap would be an excellent way to do it. Owner's Choice.
