I've been running Viofo A119s and now a A129 front/rear and have been loving them for the last 8+ years. They've never let me down yet.

I've had several Viofo A119s dash cams. They have been hit and miss. I am using a Viofo A119 that has worked really well for years and even outlasted a car. I like to mount the duds in the rear window.

Yes, this would suffice too! I hate exposed/dangling cables and stuff stuck to my windshield or dash that falls off or is an invitation for theft, Im definitely willing to pay for a permanent, more stealth mounting solution for things like this.

wolfbox puts the dashcam in the rearview mirror.
There is no way slate should build this. They could partner with wolfbox and as someone else said, put a 12v tap in.

But sticking the wolfbox power cable under the trim to the fusebox is a very easy install.

I know how you feel. I have mine on my BMW and not on my wife's GH. Mine started flaking out recently (I attribute it to the GA heat on the windshield - RedTiger crap). Integrated must be better, but also more expensive to repair when damaged. There is a cost to everything.

look at fitcamx. I have one on my wifes mercedes. It replaces the shroud that goes over the rear view mirror so it is as integrated as you can get.

Actually what I've had in mind since the Slate has plastic body panels that should be relatively easy to mod would be doing something a lot more custom, but it's just a concept in my head. Put some kind of camera heads into the grill, mirrors, and back of the cab roof, making a system more like Teslas have built in.

Same here, 1 x A119 and 2 x A129. I RMA'd 1 of each model so 2 out of 3, I like the video quality and recording basically always works, but the mobile app sucks and WiFi is basically guaranteed to fail/die (why I had 2 RMAs). At this point I gave up and pull the SD card if I need a clip. I've also had 2 hardwire kit's fail, cameras were fine.

I really want to find a solution that has a good app, reliable wifi/bluetooth, and has good 4k video quality. Also has to be capacitor based, can't use batteries. Garmins used to be my go to but the price is high and the video quality started falling behind years ago, but the app was more reliable in my past experience.

18 Wheelers have multi-camera dashcam setups for fleet use. I've seen some impressive dashcam footage where it'll start at the front, move to the side, and then show the rear of the cab.

You may be able to get away with running power to each of these camera and using the tablet mount area hold the actual video mount.

Expensive but a great example, I'm sure more multi channel car-DVRs exist out there that aren't near this expensive.

This just came across on my TikTok page. Looks interesting as a dashcam (front & back) and a CarPlay / Android Auto display and more.

While I’m not going to purchase anything until the truck arrives, it gives me hope that there are some neat and inexpensive solutions out there if anyone wants to go down that path.
