This was an interesting read... wanted to share it here though because the article mentioned that you can add a cover for heated seats. Do we know this to be true?I checked the Slate Maker but didn't see anything. I had sent that question into Slate a while back and they responded that it was something they were thinking about. Just curious if I missed something.

They have mentioned a heated seat cover several times. Which would imply they've engineered the electrical system to make it an easy plug in (one would hope).

What's the voltage, I wonder?

It's more efficient to run seat heaters directly from the 400-Volt battery. However, it's easier and safer to run it off 12-volts.
There is no way I'd run the 400V HV circuit up into the passenger compartment, let alone 5mm from my balls.

Any inefficiency from using 12v instead of pack voltage is just more heat, which is the point. Plus 12v aftermarket seat heaters have already existed for decades and are very cheap.

This is where I'm hesitant. The last heated seat cover I bought shorted out and melted a few things. I'm not sure I like "cheap" in this scenario.

I don't have a long winter like you northern people, but man do I love my heated seats and steering wheel on my Maverick in January and February. If either or both are offered as accessories I am SO in.

Agreed, they are very nice on my MachE as well, and have the very practical effect of improving winter range - if you can keep the cabin cooler because you are heating your hands and body directly, you use a lot less climate-control energy.
