The various YouTube shouters are telling me more about themselves than about the vehicle.
I hate that. I don't care about *you*, bro. I'm watching this is because there is subject matter that's interesting. Save that other crap for your biographer.

Gives me plenty of time to play games about which vehicle will make the final cut in the other 2 garage slots....my plan is that the golf cart gets demoted. My wife is in disbelief that this "Slate Obsession" is ever going to materialize.
think mine is more convinced than ever.

I hope Slate bags the idea of producing videos. As Barman indicated, Slate is going to also produce paper instructions. I hope they go with just the paper. I hate video repair tutorials. With a passion. You have to watch a 45 minute video to make a 15 minute repair.
When done right, they can be a very useful tool. There's a Honda Dealer that used to do instructional videos as some of the OEM accessories supplied by Honda didn't come with paper instructions. They were pretty handy.

Me fixing my Slate's first fender bender using Slate U:

Thanks for sharing this content. Two comments:
1- I am sincerely hoping that adding a console to the Slate isn’t this complicated
2- I hope that Slate U avoids using anything like this annoying “Mod Squad” soundtrack as heard in the Honda video.

There it is. Nobody loves a lame soundtrack to an important DIY journey.

I would be absolutely fine with the Mod Squad soundtrack if Peggy Lipton was the presenter of the video.

As a latecomer myself, I'm happy to keep the fires burning on answering questions I can answer. You early birds need a break. You've been at this a long time!

I absolutely hope younger people take this up and get past the fear of stuff like crank windows. I've broached the subject with the retirement crowd and they are pretty sour on it. Not enough creature comforts for most. I may start a thread on the subject of discussing Slate with our acquaintances later.
Hand crank windows can't trap you in a car in an accident, presuming your are conscious enough to attempt to exit the vehicle.
