Huh. You might want to check your sources again. The article is taking about delaying T3 (New midsized EV truck platform) not the F150. If you’re thinking it’s a 150 Lightning replacement it’s not. At least not a direct replacement. We likely see the Lightning go away when it comes to market, but it not a direct replacement.

There is a smaller, cheaper EV truck platform coming soon that will fit between the Maverick and Ranger assuming the talking heads are correct. That one will be discussed on a live stream from Ford on the 11th of this month.
I checked my sources again…. It’s the link you provided…..

I can’t tell if I’m being trolled. If so, touche

There won’t be another Lightning…I would be surprised to see a ‘27 Lightning.

I thought the new one was going to be made in Louisville? I haven't been following the Ford models too closely, but does this mean they will have 4, or is it 5 pickup - like vehicles? It looks to me like they should offer an EV Maverick or Ranger. The new one looks like a copy of the Hyundai Santa Cruz (which I think should be offered as an EV).

That makes sense!

Since the Lightning is not much in demand due to higher pricing, it makes sense to develop a mid size / compact truck.

I'd' go for one in a heartbeat if Slate falls thru as I did have a '22 Lightning (first batch off the line) for a year and found it unusable in Los Angeles....

I feel you. I’m towing a uhaul trailer today and the lightning is getting 1.6miles/kwh while towing at 60mph. I used EA at a Walmart earlier (77kw charge rate) and now am using Tesla (92kw charge rate). Will be glad to unload and dump this trailer soon!

I do admit that this is the smoothest towing vehicle ever, however….amazing really.

Hawaii is a totally different market.

Most of the mainland Lightning inventory is languishing.

Even if Ford or another manufacturer makes a low priced entry truck, you will still have to get a second loan every time you bring it to the dealer for service. I was meeting a friend at the Lexus dealer last week who was dropping his car off for service. They have signs all over saying you can take out a loan to get your Lexus serviced. I want Simple, easy to fix. Go SLATE!

This is no lie. For the first time in 6 years, I changed my own rotors and pads on a GX460 last year...Lexus wanted $1400 for the honor (It took me about 2 hours and $550 for higher grade rotors and pads than Lexus OEM)! I love Lexus service while the vehicle is under warranty and the items being fixed are covered. Otherwise, I'm YouTubing it. Bring on simple, please.

Similar story here, saved over $1000 by doing the rotors and pads myself using OEM grade parts. The best thing about Slate is you probably will never worry about pads or rotors with regen braking. Maybe after 100K miles you might want to check your brakes.....LOL.
