Slate Auto Pickup Truck My latest build and wallpaper ChatGPT Image Apr 22, 2026, 01_04_12 PM

My first vehicle was a hand-me-down S-10 two-door with a bench seat. It was great for high school date nights — that bench seat was awesome.

My next vehicle was a black S-10 Crew Cab, and I drove that until it died.

For the last 3 years, I’ve been driving my daughter’s old neon green Chevy Spark while waiting for an affordable EV truck.

I reserved the Tesla Cybertruck when it was supposed to start at $39k, but we all know how that turned out. When the Slate was announced, I refunded my Tesla reservation and reserved the Slate right away.

I can’t wait to get back into a vehicle that feels like home again.

Black always looks dirty, and white looks good, but my wife says it looks like a refrigerator on wheels. I think I found the perfect blend.

I asked AI to give it a better background for my desktop, and it turned out awesome — thought I’d share. Let me know what you guys think? The white tires really make it pop!

I have fever for more slate.

I like the look, but think the background could be more grayscale slate to make your B&W two-tone look pop.

A white grill between the white running lights could almost give it a slick Tuxedo kind of look.

Thanks! I thought maybe adding the black roof rack would be cool too.

I love the white top and white wheels! No matter what the color, the white wheels would be a great choice. I wish they came standard.

The bolt pattern won't work with a Slate.
Good point! Although the website shows more bolt pattern options and styles than the sample picture posted. On the product webpage, select the box that shows the bolt pattern to see available options. For example, the 501 Convoy has more options.

Until Slate releases more details, there's no telling what bolt pattern, center bore, and offset to focus on.

I keep thinking I don't need a Slate and that something like the Maverick would better fit my use case, and then I play around with the customization tool on the Slate website and fall in love all over again. Such a fun, customizable vehicle.
