I’m looking forward to final answer on seats. I won’t buy these (my golf cart has better seats!). I’m sure they will be much better at production time.

I wish I could’ve been there but they give such short notice. Their schedule had been saying New York August 1st-6th with no details. Then, on Wednesday July 30th, they send an email saying they’ll be in manhattan on Saturday. No time to reschedule my plans. Now they’ll be in the same spot on Tuesday at 8am while I’m at work. Hopefully I’ll get a test drive opportunity before release.

I need you all to tell to back away from the ledge bc of those horrible looking seats…they might as well be made of clay, right? Nothing close to final product.

While people who have sat in the truck have said they were comfortable, as I've said in other threads, Slate recently posting a job for a seat designer likely means the seats we are seeing are placeholders.

I thought it looked great. I'm going with just the truck though, so no extra seats for me. There were some "rough edges" to it but I realize this is a beta and that the production models will be cleaner and maybe utilize different materials as well. Parts will probably have been redesigned or further developed a little than what we are currently seeing.
I'm still really excited to get a chance to own one and drive one around.
