So I love Halloween. My wife loves Xmas. No, we are not a "The Nightmare Before Christmas" couple (though we do like that movie) - my sister and her husband are those people. But I was talking about some of the threads on here and about wraps and it got to a point where we were talking about ridiculous wraps and it occurred to us:
The panels are replaceable, like ENTIRE panels, designed to be easily swapped out. So whats to stop us from having a Christmas car, a Halloween car, a Valentines Day car, a Game Day car, a Camo car, etc....? You could have a collection of them you change for the season or event that sit in the rafters of the garage when not in use.
And if we can just swap them out, whats to stop us from swapping them with custom made 3D panels? Hey, maybe you want a 1950s era looking mod? Sure, why not. Body kits have always been a thing, right? Bet this one would be super easy to make them for. Or, like, maybe I make a skull front clip for Halloween? Or fake sleigh fenders for Christmas with a fat Santa on the back and a red light up hood ornament? Anyone a fan of "Dumb and Dumber"? How about that car? Or any other weird Hotwheels-acid-tripping-inspired-fever-dream anyone ever had? It could be fun for a parade one weekend and then back to normal-normal for work come Monday. Ive seen it done with metal fabs, fiberglass, and carbon fiber, sure, but those are a lot more involved with things not DESIGNED to easily be removed and replaced and are considered permanent, expensive, and labor intensive swaps. But the Slate panels are designed to be (relatively) easy to work with and cheap. So how crazycould this get?
You think wraps are gonna get 'ugly'....wait until the car show and modding crowds catch wind of this stuff.... :/
