Payment and timing?

I've searched the topic with no luck. How and when can I pay the total amount for my Slate? Personal or certified check upon delivery? Transfer of funds from my bank account as the truck leaves the factory?

On the FAQs it says you can arrange your own financing, pay it in full or arrange financing through Slate

FWIW, a certified check comes with an extra layer of verification than a personal check, but is guaranteed by the payer. A cashier’s check is issued and guaranteed by a bank or credit union, which makes it more secure than a certified check. I believe it’s more likely Slate will require a cashier’s check, like I’ve had to provide for previous vehicles, boats, etc.

As for the when... I have a Q1-2027 window and was told to expect to pay for the truck in December 2026. If you pre-ordered, I'm sure they already told you when to expect to purchase, yes?

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do a simple electronic funds transfer from your account to theirs.

The only message I got was:
"As early as DEC '26
We'll notify you when it's time to purchase your Slate and the accessories you picked. "

I didn't take that to mean it would be Dec '26, just as early as.
