Poll: Which part of the Slate website are you looking forward to the most?

Honestly, the Slate news I'm most interested is the results of their C series round of financing. Because Slate has said that's the money that gets them to production. Which sort of, kind of, maybe contradicts what the Slate CEO said earlier in the year (that the $700 million in hand was enough to reach production). I think the C Series opened in July or August of this year.

Beyond that and pricing, the only Slate news I really want is test drivesof production line vehicles from auto journalists I trust. I think the most awesome thing Slate could do would be to hand over an early Slate off the production line to TFL. Let them use and abuse it and present their findings. Hey, if you have a good product, what do you have to lose? It's win-win, right?

I will not buy a Slate until I see those journalistic reviews. No way.

What I'm really looking forward to is an updated "Specs" page. With dynamic roof load and more dimensions - the roof, the frunk, the bed. As well as the weights of the various kits and accessories, so that you can figure out the actual payload.

And hoping that the cargo van with windows will be included in the cargo kit pricing. I didn't choose that one, since I only want the cargo kit with windows. Slate's had a lot of requests for that configuration, fingers crossed that it will happen.

I'm looking forward mainly to pricing, so I selected base price and options price. I would like to find out more about the slant back top, if you can get the top only or if you have to get the roll bar and seats, which I don't want. Also someone mentioned the back window doesn't open on the slant back top. That could just be on the prototype. If not from them, I'm sure Leer or someone else will make tops to fit eventually.

The trend here seems to be a thirst for concrete information, instead of general guidance and vague promises. I personally try to give Slate a lot of slack on that. They're doing a really heavy lift on a pretty tight schedule.

Most OEMs will deliver pricing and detailed ordering information about one or two quarters before first deliveries. Kind of guides us to expect details from Slate in Q1 or Q2 of 2026, assuming first deliveries in mid to late 2026.

It seems reasonable to wait until competing prices are known, then set the price accordingly.

next model years usually start hitting dealerships like late Q3/early Q4 right? I'm a decently early reservation but I'd be surprised if I get mine before christmas 2026
