I see so many post about how the market only wants big trucks and I don’t think that is true, the strick emission regulations and chicken law forced trucks to get bigger and bigger and not because people wanted big trucks.
People setting their Slate expectations way too high. My fear is that people are utterly unprepared for the corners that Slate is going to have to cut to put out the product they've promised at sub $30k. Though maybe I can help fund my own purchase by selling "I should have bought a Maverick" bumper stickers. So what keeps you up at night?

dang that’s probably going to happenWell, now we have a new worry. Is the new CEO gonna change Slate's business model? God I hope not.
Well, we definitely know at least 180,000 people a year want a smallish truck, because that's how many Maverick and Santa Cruz together have been selling. Slate and maybe Telo will tell us what the market is for even smaller (174" and 152").I see so many post about how the market only wants big trucks and I don’t think that is true, the strick emission regulations and chicken law forced trucks to get bigger and bigger and not because people wanted big trucks.
Isn’t that 174.6” and 152”?(184" and 152").
Oops. Yes you are right. Editing...Isn’t that 174.6” and 152”?

When was Chris Barman hired? I thought she claimed to be employee #1 or #2 in some video presentation.Slate didn't start their business model with Chris Barman, I doubt there is much chance of a new CEO suddenly flipping the whole thing.
I think she's CEO #2. That makes Faricy CEO #3.When was Chris Barman hired? I thought she claimed to be employee #1 or #2 in some video presentation.
It was the Sandy Munro video where Chris Barman claims to be employee #2 (about a minute in.)I think she's CEO #2. That makes Faricy CEO #3.
#1 was Rod Copes, a former Rivian executive.
Let us know if you have a link to info that says otherwise.Newsweek said:Slate is led by CEO Chris Barman, Chairman Rod Copes, COO Jeremy Snyder and head of design, Tisha Johnson
I’m going to say -“No”.Well, now we have a new worry. Is the new CEO gonna change Slate's business model? God I hope not.

Slate has a ton of funding from Bezos' investment funding group that looks for potential good projects, so this could be seen as a sign of "Hey this one's actually gonna work so go make sure it stays working."The new ceo is a former Amazon executive. I’d bet Bezos is running thing from behind the curtain.
I stand corrected.I couldn't find any reports that showed Rod Copes was ever CEO.
