To Clarify: production will start in 2026, with first deliveries coming at the end of 2026.
My interpretation of this statement would be in December of 2026 as opposed to Q4 which would include November and October also.

I'd say they could go either way, but aren't promising October or November. Being vague about it lets them aim for earlier, and not disappoint anyone if it ends up at the late end.

That in Startup EV terminology late 2026 really means 2027-2028, possibly late 2029 with the EV Tax credit gone!

IMO, a much better question to answer on the Q&A video than about a 9' surfboard (which literally applied to just one person...).

They just need to make one delivery in December 2026 to hold true to their stated timeline.

As someone that works in the manufacturing industry (mostly automotive) there are so many factors out of Slates direct control. People outside have no idea what a huge mountain they're climbing. So cool that they've reduced the startup complexity by eliminating paint and stamping and component numbers. I'm cheering for them to hit their goals. Hopefully, all keeps moving ahead smoothly but if not, I'll give them grace. There's a place in my driveway for my Slate.

Keep in mind that some companies consider Q4 '26 to include January and February of '27 as well.

That would be pretty devious because "with first deliveries coming at the end of 2026" means calendar year 2026 to virtually everyone who reads it.

While I’m familiar with fiscal year coinciding with Federal Oct - Sep, I’m not familiar with Jan & Feb as the quarter. Would like to see actual names tied to this. And confirmation it applies to Slate.

I see no sign of that. Those EV companies pushed the date back as obstacles came up. So far there has been no public sign of the schedule slipping. Using things like already existing off the shelf parts will help with that. Drive train already existed, headlights appear to be a standard LED version of the classic round headlamps that have been around a long time, with the LED version in parts catalogs from different manufacturers for years.
Every other EV has been made with mostly custom parts.

Well, you are entitled to your own negative thinking. You have any good reason to be here?
