Easy to determine, what is weight of the gallon can of coating? How many cans? Minus weight of containers. Likely a bit less after solvents gone.
I didn't want to seem the Master Of the Obvious (MOO?) by suggesting that calculus, but....

Naïve about this sort of stuff (aside from the "dip / wrap" stuff) - does it add appreciable weight?
No. I just received my 2-gallon kit from Monstaliner I ordered a few weeks ago to do my 2-door Jeep's exterior. It's shipping weight is 28 lbs. That includes the weight of the metal cans, the install tools like roller and disposable roller pads, gloves, stir sticks, brush, printed instructions and all the cardboard packing and shipping box. Once applied (rolled on wet) and outgassed and completely cured, I would bet it weighs half that at most, LOL. It's nothing.

Will bedliner adhere to the plastic surfaces?
Yes. I did my Jeep's interior with Monstaliner. The dashboard and interior panels of both doors, all plastic. Scuff and clean very well and it will adhere fine. It's been about 8 yrs since I did it and no sign of wear or peeling or color fading.

Would you say that it's more scratch resistant than the plastic underneath?

LOL, yes. Before I coated the plastic dash and door parts they always showed scratches and sun blotch. After the Monstaliner it always looks great, other than dust, of course. After a wash I'm always kinda amazed how good it looks years later. My Jeep's lined floor looks great after about 10 yrs. I cannot describe with words how tough this stuff is. I don't really see scratches on the floorboards, just a dirty matte black textured floor. You can order free color swatches from the website and scratch test them.

Here's a short YT video I just found from another satisfied customer:

Just as I feared, went down a rabbit hole:

There's a lot of thought around "primers", but I wonder if that is only because he was testing on metals and not the space plastic on Slate trucks?

Primers can make a world of difference for adhesion. In an earlier life I was a R&D tech for coatings. One of our products was the GTO elastomeric bumper. 3 part paint system - primer/color/gloss. Proper prep important as well.

Cab-only bedliner coating seems like a great idea.

Similar to the "Blacktop" Partial Wrap option in the configurator, but with longevity.

With the removable panels and liners of various colors could be some interesting combinations, even changeable if panels are relatively inexpensive.

That is an interesting idea…not terribly cost efficient, but if one had plenty of garage/Slate Shed space?
