Seems like someone should (or probably already has) some kind of kit that will make this modular. Even custom-fit into the Slate dash. Good business opportunity for someone smarter than me.

A din kit of some sort has been mentioned by Slate, all it would take is an injection molded piece to insert into the dash, and some kind of wiring adapter. Radios like that needing a constant on power supply is one thing that may need some creativity.

I enjoy having an AM/FM radio, but it's legacy technology which needs to be retired. We are not going to replace electronic starters with hand cranks, power windows with roll-up (let's see how many trucks ships with roll-ups), or radial tires with bias-ply. The ship has sailed.
