I hope it comes today. The event is tomorrow and no idea what time it will be. I'd like to put it on my calendar.
Agree. Have a time zone issue here to consider. When Apple does their thing, usually convenient at 7am local.

As a night owl, I'll probably miss it if they don't send out the invites until tomorrow morning. And I did put in a question too.

I’m sure Slate has already thought of this. The Q&A event will likely be “recorded” and you should be able to login at a future time using the link provided. I wouldn’t be surprised if it finds its way to the Slate.Auto website in the FAQ or media sections.

I'm sure it will be, but I'd still like to be at the live event.

Okay, I just chatted with someone at Slate and asked about the time. It's not a live event. That is, Slate will be sending links to stream the Q&A, but it's not a Zoom meeting with all of us attending.

The links will be coming tomorrow.

Better than nothing I guess, but I was really, looking forward to a live event.

Hopefully it will really address mostly things we don't already know. Of course they weren't going to answer every question submitted, some were probably outright antagonistic, and others are going to be things they aren't ready to answer or don't have answers for.

>> some <questions> were probably outright antagonistic,

I hope Slate has the integrity and bravery and honesty to select and answer some of those questions. Frankly, a session of softie fanboy questions achieves nothing other than patting us on the had and saying "trust me". If it's exclusively an hour of answering fanboy softballs - that would be a real disappointment.

I'm a Slate fanboy. And I sent in a few softie fanboy questions. I also submitted a single fastball. I'll be watching the video with a mix of optimism and skepticism. I'm hoping Slate swings and hits that fastball out of the park. I'll know in a few hours.

Hey, I don't expect Slate to give away competitive secrets. But they've made bold claims, and bold claims demand strong evidence. So show me the beef, or I'll continue to worry that there's only lettuce and tomato inside that tasty looking sesame seed bun.

I'm trying to mix even more metaphors. Maybe next post...

Random unrelated thought while we're waiting. Imagine what Slate could have done with the $17 billion in bad EV investment Ford wrote off today... Pretty much free Slates for every member of this forum.
One can only dream.
