Me? Sidepipes just for fun. Maybe hookup some sound to it with different engine noises, like small block chevy, F1 V12, etc..

Yeah, it's crazy..

If you are going to do a custom setup with "engine sounds" don't stop there. Jetsons has already been done. Add a whole set of sci-fi spaceship sounds. Add animal sounds, everything from ducks to horses, cattle, elephants.

Lots. Just....lots.
If I get a truck version, rolling stage, complete with PA and sound board. It'll be version 2.0. My 2000 S10 was version 1.0 and saw a lot more use than I'd expected. Also made for one hell of a sound system while driving around.

If I go with the SUV version, itll be a small datacenter on wheels for "Incident Response" - ie, Ransomware and other catastrophic events clients call me for where I have to roll in with a literal rack of hot ready to go 'on-prem' equipment to prop them up while I un-F whatever they got nailed by. Right now thats a lot of servers and cables on dollies.

That would be pretty funny. Rich Rebuilds did that in a Tesla. Took an astronomical amount of work, with having to build a transmission tunnel, reinforce the chassis without the pack, and much much more. I imagine a little transverse mounted I4 would work if FWD was okay

I actually think that Slate is one of the best configured vehicles for my desire to explore mode-decoupled suspensions. That's probably my craziest mod idea.

I also like the idea of enhancing the natural EV sounds, rather generating synthetic sounds. Think an acoustic guitar with a pickup, rather than an electric guitar.

The lowered suspension also pretty much demands a stylistically appropriate simple air dam, rather than even the base 'soft-roader' style Slate bumper.

I think the Slate would look great with a lowered suspension and a body kit. Combined the potential autocross eligibility and we'll see a resurgence of cheap little 'sport' trucks. I hope the modding scene gets their hands on these and starts doing some wild stuff with them.

Closest I've seen to a Slate is this modded Isuzu from the Philippines.

How will you make them hot? No sidepipes are complete without the chance to scorch a leg.
I'd put 'em on and slap a pair of these stickers on them. Hot in a different way!
