Another cynical YouTube video dooming the Slate to failure. Worth a laugh.

He's assuming everybody wants a truck that does everything and that you'll buy all the upgrades on day one.

Another moron who thinks the Slate is competing with family cars. Or thinks Slate is trying to make a family car and screwed up. Or thinks everyone wants a family car. Yup, that’s why the Porsche 911 exists. I hope he doesn’t quit his day job.

The Slate isn't a Family Car. It an Economy Car with a Pickup Truck form factor. Maybe I'm (confirmation) biased, but I think a lot of people want just that.

I've owned two small 2-door pickups and both of them served me well.

Incidentally, there's more to cost-of-ownership than just sticker price.

The trap is very simple. Just create a controversial video or post and a lot of guys will see you.. ergo views with unlike and likes but lot of views is the important thing here…. Money. Happens all the time in social media. “Doesn’t matter if you are saying something negative or positive about me… you are saying something and you’re watching me!!!.

Add Ford Bronco, Ford Baby Bronco and Chevy Trax to the list of vehicles we are cross shopping against the Slate. I just want a small EV pick-up for crying out loud.

I can't wait till the slate takes off and they have to expand the plant. The Volkswagen beetle was selling 400,000 units in the US alone by the end of the 60's. I think the slate is gonna be the second coming of "the people's car". When it happens, I'm gonna look up all these guys and give em hell in the comments.

I remember being skeptical about a dude who started an online bookselling business that was about 3 blocks away from where I was working at the time. I heard some stories about employment there and some visions they had for their company. Instead of staying status quo, and sitting on my thumb, I should have got off my ass and checked it out. I would probably be a millionaire today. That company turned into Amazon. I know there is a lot of business failures, but I admire people who have a vision, take some risks in life, and reap rewards when it gets successful. I hope this plays out for Slate as well, and this time, I want to be in on it.

I'll be in with a chunk of my retirement money if they ever have an IPO.
