In the last year, I've had numerous runs from Menards/Home Depot of large items needed for home projects like this in my Equinox. LoL. Would love to not have that problem.

I discovered that I could bring home 8 foot 2x4s in a '93 Geo Metro with the hatch closed by removing the passenger seat.

If I have a big project that needs 4x8 sheets, or long 2x's, I just pay the $30 for delivery. My lumber yard is 14 miles away. I get it all at once. They pack it and just slide it off their flatbed. I only have to move the material once. 💡

I carried a 10” wide 10’ long and 1/2” thick piece of wood in the back seat of my 2012 Camaro, of course my Camaro was a convertible and I carried it vertically. You do what you have to do sometimes.

Hauling 12' boards back 10 years ago when I had this longbed 69. Notice how low the sides were. I could reach in and get stuff even with my T-Rex arms.

Get one of the toddlers hang on it? With helmet, knee and elbow pads firmly affixed, of course. Bc we don’t want to hurt a new Slate!

I've been waiting for this answer! And the Slate doesn't have an openable back window. That's a real bummer.

According to the reps yesterday in Huntington Beach, the back window does indeed open and is removable. It has internal hinges and a lock and is supposedly the production version.
