How much do you think they will be selling the Fastback and SUV tops for when the car launches?

I'm not sure but I'd be curious to see if they option it with / without the seats. I'd just like a bed topper that turns it into a two seater SUV.

I don’t want the SUV seats either. I’m guessing a nicely equipped SUV will be about $35K all in. What I really want to know is the price for the Weekender package.

I read somewhere ~5k. I think that’s too much as the suv will fall into bolt ev and Kia ev pricing.
I also think Slate needs to offer the tops and the seat/rollbar kits as seperate items . I want the top but don’t want to pay for the seats and roll bar. If slate doesn’t offer tops only, I suspect someone else will. Seems like a missed opportunity for slate.

A big safety engineering problem with any soft top/open vehicle is the rigidity of the open section. It seems that the roll bar is the way to maintain the rating without adding a completely different rear section. Simpler manufacturing. I will say, being able to just buy the square back roof and rollbar would be a smart option.

I am curious if the rear seats will fold down. That to me would make having the seats for people and a flat cover cargo space very nice.

The good thing… probably a lot of aftermarket companies will produce accessories and parts for the slate. So, if the sell that parts too high, we’ll options to modify the basic model. And for sure will be cool parts and ideas for that. I think is amazing the concept!!
