Why does every thread seem to go off the rails? i thought the subject was on Ford and the universal platform, with assembly techniques which largely resembles Tesla. I think Ford is on the right track!
I think at this point we've rehashed and triple hashed everything we know about this little truck at this point, and we know even less about Ford's new offerings :CWL:

I agree that their approach is good. I wish the price was more enticing, but who knows what the future holds. I'd love to see them make a Focus or Fiesta sized little hatchback on this platform too.

Threads always go off track. Because we're human beings talking, not computers computing. And because our brains are neural networks that function associatively, meaning one topic makes us think of a related topic.

Can you imagine a party where somebody starts a conversation, and the rigid rule is that nobody can stray off that topic?

They need to do something differently. I'd be down for a Bronco, but they can't seem to figure out the systems (too many of them lead to Jeep-like unreliability?), so simplification with some Tesla influence would probably be a major step forward.
It feels like to me that Ford is still recovering from their Microsoft Sync infotainment dumpster fire from over a decade ago. It seems they're on the right track when it comes to hardware/software synergy now.

I wish my Lightning was proof of this.
