They're not going to be able to build a portable ~20 kW array that can be carried in the Slate.

They only need a 120V inverter at the power levels that you could achieve in a parking space, and it's just going to get rectified anyway so it doesn't need to be a perfect sine wave. It will take days, maybe a week, to recharge fully.

But that's fine for people who are only averaging a few miles per day.

I will agree for the most part
no where near 20kw, likely lucky to approach 1 kw.
sure 120v if you don’t have time constraints, but looking at something like a Bluetti Apex 300 which out puts 240, why handicap yourself. If a pay parking space, commercial charger may have more appeal. As for sine, I sure wouldn’t hook a modified sine to my truck except maybe output only.
my point is, many ways to skin a cat, but many could just be an inadequate mess it you don’t know about cat anatomy, but one can learn.
