Grownups toys! lolReminds me of assembling a model car kit, except this one has a scale of 1:1.
Even with vinyl decals too...Grownups toys! lol
With the idea of having a third party store and 3D printing being a focus for customization I'd be surprised if we didn't get some.It would be great if we could get these parts as downloadable STL files
Agreed. Slate is dropping the ball on that front. With the idea of having a third party store and 3D printing being a focus for customization I'd be surprised if we didn't get some.
How so? Like I said I'd be surprised if we didn't get files. But I wouldn't expect them till closer to launch when they have finalized parts and tolerances with all their manufacturers and received production grade parts.Agreed. Slate is dropping the ball on that front.
Slate hasn't really given any indication of how they'll do this when release is only less than 12 months away. It doesn't have to be final parts or anything. A webpage with a vague blurb and interactive elements about teasing what's to come would be nice. How so? Like I said I'd be surprised if we didn't get files. Ahh, so you're talking about having like the store front or university splash page up. Yeah I could see how that would inspire some confidence but also if they did post it and then let it sit dead for 6-8 months before they had their ducks in a row and had more to post it would seem like they don't care at the very least, from an outsiders perspective no?Slate hasn't really given any indication of how they'll do this when release is only less than 12 months away.
