I thought the same. Looks like the same configuration.

At the Needle, I noted there was no front license plate mount. I asked the Slate rep if I just needed to drill some holes and he said I could either do that or join the movement mounting in California to just not put a plate on the front. LOL didn’t know we needed a movement for that.

I'd say, ADDING a license plate will improve the front end looks.

My first car [Illinois] never had the mounting holes drilled so I never bothered with a front plate. Never was pulled over but was told it was a guaranteed 'reason to pull me over for anything the cop wanted.'

Never got pulled over in Illinois for it for the 10 years I drove that car there... however upon starting college out of state the Iowa Highway Patrol LOVED to lecture me on front plates. Never changed my registration so it always had IL plates and was probably half the reason I kept getting warnings.

I will have to mount a front plate but an offset plate would be cool, my previous LTD had one and I was told it was more of a JDM feature.

Wonder if that center panel between the two squares on the front bumper of the slate will be where the mounts go. My Element had little dimples built in the bumper to show you where to drill.

Looks like the taillights are going to be a single bulb setup. Was hoping for two for redundancy, that and one being a dedicated turn signal bulb and the other brake lights so we could potentially have amber turn signals if we wanted 'em!
