Is PPF over the factory gray composite panels possible? I really want to preserve that original look. I think thereās something special about keeping the factory color with a gloss, matte, or even a āfrozenā finish like Iāve seen on some BMWs.I'm sure the wraps will be vinyl, not colored PPF, although there may be a PPF option as well.

PPF would be for people who prefer to embrace less visible wear, which includes more than sun damage.Part of the reason the panels are coming in a basic grey is that is the easiest to do with additives for things like UV resistance. They know a significant number of trucks will be staying grey, so they will have a formulation that will stand up to the sun.
Probably cost.I'm curious why Slate would even consider vinyl for color option.
I'm thinking why not offer both? Standard $500 for a kit and $3-$6 Premium wrap?Probably cost.
Premium PPF Wrap Kit is a good idea, especially if it' more weather-resistant.I'm thinking why not offer both? Standard $500 for a kit and $3-$6 Premium wrap?
The short answer is yes. If it will take vinyl it will take PPF.Is PPF over the factory gray composite panels possible? I really want to preserve that original look. I fully intend to do a DIY Color PPF wrap for sure. The brand is still up in the air, but I could be convinced. šhappy to try with STEK PPF!
