Wouldn't the loss of power from the 12v battery be worse (and much more common as it's just a lead/acid battery) as that powers most of the controls and computer?

My understanding is that for at least most EV's, as long as there is 12V power it should let you put it into a 'tow mode'. This unlocks all the wheels and let's it be rolled (at low speed) onto a flatbed. If the 12v battery is dead too, a jump pack or jumper cables can be used to provide charge to it.

Being the owner of two EV’s I can assure you there are producers for putting them into neutral for an extended period for towing. Or more accurately, for loading on a roll back.

AND STOP SHOUTING AT US!!

I'm just guessing that N = neutral will just disable the regen function to allow for towing.

My electric golf cart has a switch...

That's what I'm saying the chance of the drive battery being just randomly completely dead is not only less likely than the 12v battery but also less of an issue as without a jumper pack you really are dead in the water where as if you only had power from the 12v you have control of the vehicles systems you just can't use the motor.

Emergency failure alert. WE ALL KNOW THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN IT JUST WON'T GO FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER HERE ARE SOME INTERESTING FACTS THAT ARE ALARMING FOR EXAMPLE

IF YOU LOSE THE DRIVE BATTERY VOLTAGE IT WON'T GO AND YOU CAN'T RELEASE THE BRAKES AND IT DOES NOT HAVE A NEUTRAL GEAR WHICH MEANS YOU HAVE TO PUSH AGAINST THE MOTOR WHICH IS SIGNIFICANTLY GEARED IN THE REAR END WHICH MEANS YOU CAN'T DO IT.

THE BOTTOM LINE SOLUTION IS IT HAS TO BE TOWED WITH THE BACK WHEELS UP SO THAT THE FRONT WHEELS ARE ON THE GROUND.
BUT THEY WON'T LET YOU DO THAT BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN LOCKED

FRANKLY I DON'T SEE HOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT ON A TOW TRUCK WITHOUT RUINING THE TIRES THE REAR WHEELS WON'T RELEASE THE FRONT WHEELS WON'T RELEASE

EVEN IF YOU PUT FOUR DOLLIES ONE ON EACH OF THE WHEELS THAT'S REALLY the only possible way you can move the vehicle

you need to think this out very carefully because this is the reality of this vehicle

I suspect it's very nearly the same with other electric vehicles if you don't have a neutral gear you're gonna have a lot of problems.
Didn't you get banned??

Never had this issue with my 2023 chevy bolt. Similar things can happen with an ICEV with an auto/cvt trans.
