Why i choose Slate.?
What i like?

1.- is a small truck. I like trucks almost any size. But the versatility is always a big point for me. An a truck with the frunk is a plus. Big plus.!!
2.- Electric Cars. Always. Even before Leaf or teslas .. I love the EV concept and was my dream live in an era with electric cars
3.- simplicity.!! This part is very important.
I did mechanic in 80s and 90s. All those cars, even the most complex were very simple. Now besides the technology for passenger and security. The cars are too sophisticated. Easily pass from a nice car to a piece of junk. All the sensors, computers and chips for almost every function convert any dream in a nightmare.!! I work in a dealer .. and yes the bugs and problems with the electronics components in the new cars is the weak part. ( very weak )
4.- Do it yourself. Yes yes and yes.!!! The simplicity let me be happy. Customization and do almost anything in my car is priceless.!!!! Thanks for that.!!!

What I like about the Slate Truck is that it’s small, fully electric, and built for creativity. I love that I can customize and completely reinvent whenever the mood strikes. Whether it’s a new color, new panels, or an entirely new vibe, the Slate can evolve. And if I want to sell it, the new owner can make it their own.

Totally agree! Thanks for posting. I hope Slate stays strong and has a bright future. I think many of us feel like you do.

DIY is what I like. I had a CD player go bad in my Silverado and installed a touchscreen radio that had to have an interface module to make it work with my truck. It was difficult to use and the radio stopped working. I thought I would buy a used OEM. That’s a joke! It was locked to th original truck VIN. I tried watching YouTube videos to unlock it but I failed. So I bought a new Kenwood stereo and an install kit. That’s when I found out about the interface module. I took it off the fancy touch screen and figured out how to make it work with my truck. What should have been a couple hours ended up being a couple days getting the job done. To much hassle and definitely GM planed it that way. Either take to a dealer or planned obsolescence.
