We know the Slate looks good unwrapped, but is uniquely positioned to be easily wrapped DIY. What will you do?

I like the look of Carbon fiber. I think it would look awesome as a wrap. I think changing out the stock hex bolts to anodized red hex bolts would provide contrast to the look.

Slate should absolutely offer anodized replacement bolts in a variety of colors.

That’s actually one of the only things I’m worried about with the Slate. Hopefully all the exposed hardware is treated to prevent rust

I'm going with the unfinished grey for now. I appreciate what Slate says in that the carbon footprint of molded plastic panels that last for many years would be is less than formed steel and then having to paint all that metal (long time Saturn ownership confirms this for me.) But for those who are going to apply wraps and then discard or change them with fleeting regularity, the amount of disposable - and basically unrecyclable - plastic being generated is an annoying downside. I can see where people want to be creative in customizing the color, or applying branded marketing on a business or municipal vehicle. I just hope there isn't going to be too many people who get these trucks and re-wrap them every month or so.

Signed: the guy who always brings the reusable cloth bags to the grocery store.

I change the appearance of my Jeep every few yrs, just for fun, without breaking the bank. It's like renewing wedding vows, refreshes the lurv. I literally can't answer the question what I'm going to do. In my configurator, my truck is Night Owl gloss black, but next week that will feel like so last week.

I changed from custom image to single color (plus decal overlay). I'm guessing that this will be a lot cheaper than doing a custom image print. Also my business needs changed...

I don’t see myself doing a full wrap. Sometimes I think a highlight stripe of 76 Toyota pu blue in homage to my wife’s old truck would be nice. On the practical side, I’ll be 80yo when I get my Slate, likely still in good shape for my estate. When time comes.

I was initially going to wrap it, but the more I look at it the more I think I'll keep it grey for now. Save some $$$. It all comes down to how easy the panels are to remove. I have a friend with a paint booth and I'd love to actually properly paint it (but I know how much of a pain composites can be long term from painting bumpers).

I'd just love to get it all in Ford Deep Emerald Green.

Wrapping just the roof in white wouldn't be a bad idea.
