I was just looking at their "events" page the other day, and noticed that they hadn't updated it yet despite it saying "check back in the new year".

Just looked now and they've added an event in Fort Worth.

Hopefully that means we are getting close to the events with demo drives. I do like the grill on the Slate in the image though.

Finally, there's a Pick-n-Pull yard in Ft.Worth that I sometimes visit, I'll use that as an excuse to go down there.

Love the retro look, 2 tone, I could live with this. If you had this in '69 with a chevy logo on it. No one would give it s second look. It would blend.

WOOHOO! I finally get to see one! Love that look. Hard to tell from pic but reminds me of a root beer color someone had a long time ago, maybe Dodge? And those side rails are sweet.

I did this on Grok a while back while thinking about how everyone was putting slotted chrome grills on their trucks back in the 80's.

Definitely like the stake sides. I’d be interested in seeing how they attach since the truck doesn’t have stake pockets.

It's been almost 9 months since they announced the truck, and I don't think anything really has changed on the maker showing accessories, so I think what we see there is just a preview, and there should be much more before launch. Things like the interior parts especially, there could easily be a lot more options, like not just a brown or black console, but multiple sizes and configurations. "Stake sides" will be something someone should ask about, either they are decorative just attached to the channel at the top of the bed, or maybe they bolt in in some way we haven't seen.

I was in seattle when they had the event in tacoma, but like an idiot I had a brainfart and returned my rental car so I wouldnt have to park it at the hotel, then realized I needed it to drive to tacoma to see the slate.

My wife was like, just get an uber and go down there, but Im stubborn like that.

Finally coming to Texas!
I will for sure be there! I am personally interested in buying one, but also professionally interested in them for the fleet of vehicles that I manage.

My guess is that they attach to the track on top of the bed rail. Since one rack piece attaches on both sides it will be much more stable than attaching a stake side to that same track. Perhaps they need to put some lateral pieces to connect the left side to the right side for stability.
