I thought the same. Looks like the same configuration.
At the Needle, I noted there was no front license plate mount. I asked the Slate rep if I just needed to drill some holes and he said I could either do that or join the movement mounting in California to just not put a plate on the front. LOL didn’t know we needed a movement for that.

Adding a license plate to the front of a Slate truck is really not going hurt the looks. This thing is no beauty queen. Just sayin '

I'd say, ADDING a license plate will improve the front end looks.
