All us people in the south would sure love to see one in person. Throw us a bone! I really feel you should have been partnering up with "Electrify Expo" events, but there's only a couple left this year. Maybe you feel you've had enough exposure at this point and need to concentrate on fitting out the factory? Whatever it is, I hope you get more events set up soon. I'm willing to drive a good 6 or 7 hundred miles just to eyeball one.

Honestly it makes sense that they haven't gone to the South much yet outside of Nashville. Better to hit the more northern states and higher elevation areas before the fall/winter. Plus a lot of those states are ones that still have state tax credits which I'm sure are going to be a big focus for local marketing. The one outlier is California but with the price of gas, partial state tax exemption for ev's, and a car culture that has traditionally valued customization I won't be surprised if Cali isn't the state they visit the most. But Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Memphis, Virginia, etc should definitely all be on the itinerary. If they get a lot funding would be cool if they also visit Puerto Rico next year. Would be a good place to fine tune the handling too. Ideally this Truck should be fun to drive down Mulholland Drive, Appalachian Mountain Roads, and Puerto Rican roads in general.

Would definitely participate, if you (SLATE AUTO) would bring one of those cuties to Bowling Green, KY.

Maybe we could meet up at the Corvette Museum. There are DCFC’s there and I’m sure Chevrolet wouldn’t mind at all.

It will be nice to see the truck. But not that educational honestly. What they are showing right now is not what they will be building. I say that in the sense that it's not being built on actual production line. It doesn't have all the final parts and pieces from the actual suppliers. For example, Slate stated that the panels on these early prototypes are fiberglass - not the final plastic resin. Multiply that by 600 parts, and you get the idea.

That said, I hope they visit Asheville. Seeing something is better than seeing nothing. But I'll be way more excited to test drive an early production unit off the actual assembly line. Can't wait for that.

It was really nice to see it in person to get a sense of scale, and to make sure I fit in it. Being 6'3", I'm not a giant, but still was nice to make sure. There was surprisingly LOTS of room in the cab.
