Love it, so did wife. But we have 3 boxers, would need bigger hatch. Maybe a protective cage surrounding? Mine would jump out.
3 boxers? Drive by a barbecue joint and you'll be stress testing the drain in the bottom of the frunk! I know that Slate said it can be a cooler and drain ice, but high-viscosity Boxer slobber is way more challenging!

It's been...21? years since I lost the Boxer I grew up with. She was a beautiful moron named Ginger. Like yours, zero instinct for self-preservation. All those brain cells were either repurposed for affection or crowded out by a skull like a bowling ball. She was a good dog. 😭 Give your pups extra butt scritches for me!

My 11 year old boxer has become extraordinarily stubborn. But she still chases chipmunks like a savage and will dig holes in my yard for no damned reason….my wife is already gunning for a boxer puppy bc this has otherwise been a fabulous family (clown) dog!

If you purchase a brand-new, U.S.-assembled EV using an auto loan, you can take advantage of the new OBBBA Car Loan Interest Deduction. This lets you deduct up to $10,000 in loan interest from your taxable income every year through 2028. To get the full deduction, your modified adjusted gross income must be under $100,000 (single) or $200,000 (joint).
LOL Im out of the income limits for this, but you could sell the car for 5K with 500% interest payable in one month.

I've always owned two-door cars. I raised multiple kids and now have multiple grandkids. One of the reasons I was frowning about buying a new car was that all the ones that could tow had four doors.
  • A rear facing car seat in the back is a HUGE PITA. Don't do it.
  • A front facing car seat is fine. The kids scramble into the seat then you buckle them in (or they do it once they are better coordinated). Make sure the seat in front of them is as far forward as possible, and don't put yourself in the position of having to constantly get the seat in and out.
  • Once the kid is old/tall enough for a booster seat, it's no big deal.
All the safety sites will tell you to use the rear facing as long as possible, but I say switch to the front facing as soon as the kid is big enough for one when you have a two door.

And one weird trick! You can put a car seat in the front. It's perfectly legal. Just make sure the passenger seat is as far back as the rails will allow and turn off the passenger side airbag.

You grew up without a lot of things, Boss! (Ac was not a thing in the first two Chevy’s I remember either)
Oh so true @ even as many of my adult years. 😄

possibly my 84 Tercel was first, but maybe not.

A lot of us did. We had only a small a black-and-white TV until I was eight years old. Our first color set was a 19-inch RCA XL-100. It was a "hybrid" tube/solid-state design - the worst of both worlds. My mom paid 349.95, including rabbit-ears, UHF loop, and a "free" pressed aluminum/fake wood TV stand.

Most newer two passenger vehicles just use the weight sensor in the passenger seat to turn on and off the air bag. I think it is supposed to be set to 65 or more pounds.

When I was strapping child seats into the car I would put all my weight into the child seat in order to get the latch anchor straps as tight as possible. I would venture to guess that the seat sensor would think there was more than 65 pounds in the car seat even when the child seat was empty. The key switch I had in my Ranger was nice so I could ensure the air bag wouldn’t deploy when my son was riding shotgun.

I was thinking that the seat occupant sensor would be good to prevent the expense of an airbag deployment in an unoccupied seat but perhaps not failsafe in preventing an airbag deployment into a child.

You sound like a Candidate for an SUV kit less the bench seat unless you want to buckle them in.

Our EX30 always senses our bluey and shepherd on the backseat during drives. So we have to buckle seatbelts to get it to stop yelling at us from the console.
Rear seats in a multi row vehicle are set different from a 2 seater.
