So on all the crank window vehicles I had, you cranked the left door clockwise to go DOWN and the passenger door counter-clockwise to go down. Do yall remember it that way? Or did GM do it one way and others like chrysler/dodge do it the opposite, like they did with their lugnuts for awhile. (technically, HALF their lugnuts)
I just remember orientating the handles so vibration would lead to the handle cranking window up instead of working the window down

Edit: I just double checked on my Geo through youtube videos and it's counter-clockwise for going up as well. So it is backwards!

If I wasn't at work right now I'd go out and double check LOL

Every manual crank window I’ve ever seen worked that way.
Yes. Both driver and passenger you want the crank to go down in the forward direction. Works out to clockwise on driver and counter clockwise on passenger. It’s only been 7 years since I got rid of my last manual window truck.

I don’t remember ever thinking about it at the time, let alone remembering now.

Same. My old muscle car has crank windows as does my Freightliner.

That said, on every one of their adds you get "why tf doesn't it have X" from the same people you'll see wanting a "basic" truck.

It's actually something that worries me a touch about the Slate - how much of the online market for a "basic cheap truck" is actually buyers vs screeching Kei truck/Tamaraw weebs?
It will be interesting to see how basic folks will be willing to go. Believe it or not, I'd like to opt out of having air conditioning (remember the days when A/C was an extra cost option?). But I understand there might only be 3 or 4 of us willing to go full-on Zen/Amish like that!

Not a current EV owner, but is AC needed for the vehicle itself if you live in a hot area? Preconditioning?
Personally, I don’t expect to use any more than I do in current vehicle, which is very seldom. We do use the sunroofs all the time.

Love their videos! Now they should consider “no power assist” for the steering wheel.

They can market this feature as a breast developer. 😂
And no power brakes.
They can market it as a Kegel exerciser.

I'm still not seeing why manual roll up windows is such a big deal. And if retro is so cool, then why not a real (metal) keyed door lock and (era) matching good 'ole round GE glass headlights.
I would love keyed entry proper, but traditional sealed beam headlights would probably not fly as they have a higher halogen power consumption than LED. That being said it's nice when I had a rock crack my headlight a few years ago and O'Relly's sells them for $14 apiece.

with THAT being said, Holly makes LED sealed beam replacements and they're excellent from what I've seen on cars that have them IRL. I'm saving up for a set for my Country Squire:
