A couple of comments on the power window option worth mentioning:I have never had a NEED for power windows but there are a few instances where power windows are convenient. My old Tacoma has crank windows and I get by with them just fine but I will consider the Slate power window upgrade, depending on price and diy maintenance.
- At one point Slate mentioned passenger window switch / motor can be ordered without the driver’s side. Or the other way around. You don’t need to order a “set.”
- The passenger window crank is probably “reachable” from the driver’s seat considering the width of the truck. Once I get to see one on person I will attempt this.
- In an interview (forget which one) it was stated that Slate may not have the power window option at launch. It actually might be delayed.
- Actually, Slate’s design team preference is the crank window, as they feel it best fits the style of the truck. (From another interview). They are offering power windows due to popular demand.
