Has anyone deciphered reservation numbers yet?

Just wondering if anyone has deciphered reservation numbers yet, to figure out exactly where we are in line.

Probably need to collect a few handfuls for reservation numbers and the time/date that they were made… unless Slate wants to save us the work and tell us how to decipher them.

Based on past reservations with: Ford Lightning, Ford Mach E, GMC Denali EV, Chevy EV....

None of them had any rhyme or reason who was next.

My 2022 Ford Lightning EV was delivered way ahead of others because I am in an EV friendly state that gave Ford credits. 3 months after reservation, lots of others ahead of me....

2023 Ford Mach E was delivered 14 months after reservation. Lack of parts and modules and the one they made ended up destroyed on a derailment while coming into the US.

GMC and Chevy EV trucks - never got notified and got refunded 2 years later.

I got an email from Slate. The reservation number itself doesn’t reflect the position on the que. slate says they’ll reach out when they get closer to production letting everyone know their place based on the reservation timestamp and delivery location.

and just like Tesla and other manufactures that do the online ordering thing the exact timestamp of order isn't necessarily your place in line. Geographic location and other factors will likely play a part.

Not really.the first reservations are first in line but delivery logistics are also in play, so it also depends on your location too. When I asked I wasn’t given my place in line but they said since I made my reservation early Friday morning I was going to be able to get it sooner than later.

I would not get wrapped up about time stamps and reservation queues.

As @zipn said, it's more shipping locations and logistics when it comes to actual order & delivery.

Post #3 above shows my actual real world experience with reservations, orders, and actual vehicles.

But that experience is based on a different production scheme and a franchise dealer network retail model. The Bronco reservation and delivery was a complete cluster F because dealers were competing for sales volumes and COVID impacts on part availability.

Slate should have none such issues.

Guess we will have to see what materializes....

Just was looking at slate website and saw my reservation date is 4/25. Then noticed the third set of numbers on my reservation number is 4250. Anyone else get a match like this?

No. Mine does not have anything that looks the date in it. I reserved in the morning on the 25th as well.

The number itself does not reflect your place in line. Your reservation timing does. They have the list.

I'm exactly 100 miles from Warsaw Indiana. I hope this helps me LOL. Ill be able to drive mine home.
