My father is almost 80 - it was like trying to teach a monkey to bowl a strike. Nobody is ever too old; they just don't want to learn something new. It's not difficult; if someone wants to learn. I would hate something like "whisper mode" as I want to take full advantage of regen. My wife will only drive my Tesla using the coasting method.
Hate to burst your bubble, but regen happens in all drive modes with all Ford EVs (Whisper, Engaged, Unbridled).

It's a matter of how harsh the regen level that bothers me.

If I lived outside of Los Angeles traffic, I'd be fine with 1PD and the harsh regen.

But having to jump on the brakes because of numskulls that cut you off, slam on their brakes or attempt sideswiping you while racing makes for a very uncomfortable ride.

I have adjustable regen in my Tesla; thus why I commented my wife prefers low regen and I prefer high regen.

Try convincing a baby boomer how to drive 1PD.

My brain and muscle memory is too old for this aged dog to learn new tricks.

Love my Mustang Mach E in Whisper Mode - coasts and drives like and ICE.
I’m a Gen Z’er that was reluctant, but have become a full convert. Max Regen on both our EVs all the time.

I started out trying to see how close to the intersection line I could get without hitting the brakes. A year and half later, I can hit that mark 99 out of 100 try’s.

Love my EV’s!!
