As I understand it, a single freight car will hold something like 10 trucks, which is also about the load of a auto-hauler... They have said that your spot in line and location in the country will both figure in on when your window will be...

I expect that a large percentage of their orders will be in California, both because it's a very populous state and because it's very EV friendly.

My prediction is that the first 100 trucks will go to purchasers in LA county. If any of those are fleet purchasers, that entire shipment might go to one buyer (likely someone like LA parks and rec.)
So I’m out of luck in Indiana. More likely one shipped to Hawaii than here. 😂

I’m seeing truck loads of new Corvettes from Bowling Green, KY heading North very often, plus Toyota and Lexus from the local Princeton, IN factory on trucks and RR cars. Waiting for the load of Slate trucks heading my way. Will mine be on a truck or train car?

Im wondering if they will have a way to pick one up from the factory. I'm only about an hour away.

Get mine while you are there. I’m about 4 hours away. 😬 Mine is the gray one. 😂

Not mentioned anywhere, just my supposition. I seriously doubt they will be last in line though...
I really don't think fleet buyers will be too keen on getting early production Slates. That's a big gamble on something with a very limited reliability record and the near inevitability of at least one significant service campaign. If I was buying for a fleet I'd absolutely want to line up well behind the reservation holders. Even as a consumer, if the Slate was going to be anything more than a secondary vehicle, I'd probably wait to see how things go for the early adopters.

Sure thing, shouldn't be too hard to find your order.

Side note, it would be cool if slate had some sort of pickup location that had slate accessories etc on display, maybe some merchandise for sale etc. for the launch.

I had heard this as well (about "zone-type" delivery). Hiding out in the remote Montana Rockies; being in the path of delivery to pretty much... nowhere. I'm sure Slate wouldn't mind dedicating a rig/rail car just for little-old-me. Right? RIGHT? :(

Well boys and girls, it's been fun,
but I bailed.
Got my $50 back in a day or two.
Best wishes for all of you.
With the potential Scrambler two door(?) Jeep pickup announcement a few days ago I don't blame you based on what you have now. If they had made the Gladiator a two-door off the bat I'd probably be in one.
