It feels like Slate are falling into the same marketing trap that Ford did--Trying to position the Lightning as simply another variation of the F150 that can do everything the ICE version could do, but better. Kind of depends on size and number of dogs and your risk tolerance. Our dogs ride in crash-tested crates that'll be strapped down in the bed. I'm hoping Slate lets me order either the SUV kit without seats or the cargo kit with windows.
