I think they can extend the bed 2 feet so you have the option of a full size bed and 1 row, or a shorter bed and two rows.

They will definitely add AWD

After that possibly a 4 door truck.

Focus, focus focus on getting Blank slate to the point it becomes the platform of choice for many years with an expanding array of function driven accessories, 4wd/awd, bed mods, cab mods, battery upgrades, motor upgrades, etc that can be applied to a blank slate of any vintage.

My Prediction: AWD Drive Slate - International Expansion with Right Hand Drive Model - 4 Door Slate XL - Achieve Profitability - Slate Car/Sports Car (Affordable car that brings back the classic tuner/ricer culture from the early 2000's but with a modern twist).

I'm hoping they make a stretched 4-door model; everything else is the same, but they add a middle section to the frame and two more doors. This would allow for parts commonality between 2- and 4-door models. Oh, and the 4-door truck could be converted to a 3-row SUV.
Does anyone have the Photoshop skills to make this happen? haha

When I heard that term ‘portfolio’ in the video, I thought Slate was referring to add on accessories and customization options. They need to get the basic platform in the hands of customers before they consider any variations. Hence the term ‘Slate is listening’ means they need real world experience and feedback from the end user community. That said I wouldn’t expect any significant new models from Slate until the 2030 model year.

agreed!,
if its even half as cusomizable as they claim we'll see lift/lower kits, wild wheels, dump beds, mega-lights, solar covers, and all that stuff!
Maybe even monster add-on batteries?
And someone will take it to the track to see how fast it does a 1/4 mile

I would like to see a dumb bed that would be cool but would need kickers so it doesn’t tip backwards. How big of a lift we talking they have the stock 2 inc what you thinks gonna be the max like 12 inc with 40’s on it XD

agree, don’t divert focus from Blank Slate. Nothing that interferes with their safety certification.

safety certification?
Most of the add-ons that will eventully be available will not need any such thing!

Colors that burn your grandma's eyeballs?
A lift kit that makes it unstable? just hand over the $$
A sound system that will make you deaf in a month, even cheaper!
Want to burn rubber? We'll help you pollute as much as your wallet can handle.
Body panels designed to mutilate pedestrians?
Battery upgrades that burn like fireworks?

And all you need to install any of this is a screwgun.

Hmmph. There is a cutoff at some point,
I just want a blank slate, nothing unusual.
Maybe I'm just a boring old guy who likes small pickups.

After all, first brand-new vehicle I ever bought was a Mazda B2200,
Close, very close.

I know, I want the version that goes offroad, underwater, tires so big you need the escalator option just to get in.

But its not sensible.
SO? ship the sensible one first, aftermarket will take care of us all.
