I want to be able to tow my pop-up camper. The poor towing capacity of the Slate Truck may be a deal breaker. My primary vehicle is a Mustang Mach-E, so I can't tow with that.

The most I would tow would be small equipment from a local rental place to my house and back. Things like a small concrete mixer, or lawn aerator.

How about this guideline: If you wouldn't try to tow something with a Chevy Sprint, don't try to tow it with a Slate Truck.

Would you try to tow a 3,000-pound tent trailer with a Chevy Sprint? Of course not because even a lightweight Teardrop Camping Trailer is probably way over the 1000-pound limit, especially when it's packed with gear and camping supplies.

Imagine how hot the Slate's little electric motor will get trying to pull a heavy load up a long hill. Yikes!

Unfortunately if you need a vehicle for towing, the Slate is the wrong horse for your particular course.

Same. 2500HD 8.1L, Allison transmission, 4x4 for all things heavy hauling, towing, and gasoline usage. I swear I hear toilet flushing sounds when stepping on the go pedal.

The Slate will be all welcome run around commuter and light hauler.
