Why the Ford EV will suck

Here's another tech feature from ford. I sold my Maverick Hybrid to carmax monday, and here is where it is parked right now, according to my ford app on my phone. That's kinda worrisome if you buy stuff on the used market.

I for one am eagerly awaiting the new Ford UEV.

I am too old for doing my own repairs and maintenance - did that long time ago in my 1988 Toyota 4x4, 1999 Toyota Tundra, 2002 BMW X5 - that's it. All cars afterwards were taken care of by the dealer or mechanic.

Current tech got too complicated and now with EVs requiring very little maintenance, I just drop off all household vehicles to my trusty independent mechanic.

I do love EVs for their minimal cost to own....

I understand NEW Maverick is based on a cut down car Unibody construction. Most trucks are Body on Frame !

And once again, I take this opportunity to confirm my steadfast belief that the reason we still haven't seen an uncamouflaged "ranchero" is because it's BUTT UGLY.

I have a feeling it will look (to me at least) like nearly every other truck on the road.
Except Slate, which will be standout gorgeous!

I grew up with my parents mostly driving fords. My first two vehicles were fords. But through the years I've grown disinterested in their product line, to the point now that I really don't like anything they make. I don't have any particular hatred of them, just disinterest.

So that being said, the new UEV is gonna look like a new ranger ****ed a mach-e, and you're never gonna see one under $40k.

I'll pass.
