Let's show World Cup fans how to do a tailgate party right....we do have The Texas Blooming Onion package with the bed mounted deep fryer for $37,950. Can we start the paperwork?
Wait. Are you saying Slates won't have "Dog Mode"?That feature would sell in some parts of Indonesia.
Only thing I can think of is because a Slate has a lot fewer wires. Fords have those fancy buttons on the doors that make things happen. And twice as many doors, too.I'm not sure why a Slate would be any less prone to have wires break or why a Maverick (because it is a Ford and/or a hybrid) would be more susceptible to wire breaks than a Slate.
I went on a quick look-see to Conway Ford in Conway, SC -- found some Mavericks for $29K+. Their website, as an example, might be very different than Autotrader or other outlets, but I found these 2 at, or slightly below MSRP. These dealers are sneaky.
Reminds me of the the Wolf of Wall Street "Sell me this pen", the strategy of the salesperson creating that urgency and selling me on what my "needs" are. I don't need anti-theft, PPF coating, oil change and nitrogen filled services. I just want to see the price is the price, and I can see online what add ons I want or need to add.If you think the Ford Maverick is so good... Then BUY ONE we aint stopping ya. I wanted a maverick a few years ago but they wanted 34k supposedly due to "high demand" with Slate ill skip that.
Stop pestering us over the price.
I'll wager the new Ford Universal EV electrical architecture will use a shared electrical buss like the Cybertruck does, which will significantly cut down on wire runs. But having less wires is not what mr.wolfie was saying. mr.wolfie said the wires were 22g and susceptible to breakage due to their routing through the cabin.Only thing I can think of is because a Slate has a lot fewer wires. Honestly my main point was the ability to repair yourself... just used the wiring as an example because I would think every time I ran them how much I would hate to get a broken brake light wire and have to take it to a deal and have all that work done...I'll wager the new Ford Universal EV electrical architecture will use a shared electrical buss like the Cybertruck does, which will significantly cut down on wire runs. Have you ever had a door harness break wires? I never have. And I keep most of my cars for at least 15 years. I have had my Integra break twice at the hatch harness and two BMWs break at the trunk lid harness.
I'm looking at the Slate because it is (supposed to be at least) cheap. My phone keeps track of me, so who cares. LOL.If you think the Ford Maverick is so good... Then BUY ONE we aint stopping ya. Stop pestering us over the price. We aren't looking at the Slate because it's cheap. We are interested because it's simple, easy and affordable to fix, doesn't force us to deal with dealership BS, keeps technology to a minimum, avoids constant surveillance, comes from a company with values we support, is made in the USA, and fills a niche that many of us have wanted for years.
It is an undisclosed feature, according to the Interweb sub-Reddit posting thing that I saw at 3:32am.Wait. Are you saying Slates won't have "Dog Mode"?
I presume you are preaching to the choir and not directing at me? See my other posts about my miserable Ford experiences (owned a Lightning for 5 whole months!). I'm not shopping for more local Ford service misery. If you think the Ford Maverick is so good... Then BUY ONE we aint stopping ya.
