Asked the question and was told no. However, I've added some bracing to a couple of pickups before cutting the top off and adding a cloth top. Curious as to the frame design and material that might allow for modifications to remove the top.

If that is a link, it doesn't work for me. I tried searching that title and it says no results. Do you have a different link?

One compromise could be taking the doors off and removing the rear window assembly. Personally, I won’t be removing the doors but could see removing the rear window assembly for more of an open air experience in warmer weather.

I'm guessing those 'couple of pickups' were all body on frame? Slate is not, which makes it a while nother can of worms.

Given that this is a unibody the pickup bed is structural to the truck. I bet reinforcing the back of the cab to the pickup bed would probably help with stiffening it for a drop top conversion. The battery pack in EVs acts as a structural member so that probably helps loads too.

Those Dakota convertibles are pretty snazzy, I'd love to see a Slate in that style!

I had an S-10 converted. It was fantastic.

Part of the conversion was reinforcing the A-pillars.

Unlike a body-on-frame S-10, the Truck's cab's structure is part of the frame itself.

Edit:
This one's not mine, but it looks like it was converted using the same kit. I removed the sun visors for a cleaner look.
