does the remote have a trunk lock? So the tailgate has a remote lock?

What is the x2 button?
I think that's the frunk unlock, pictures looks like the front trunk opening.

Hopefully it will be a Precondition button that preheats/precools the battery and cabin.
That's what that button (circle with 2x) means on both of my Chevy fobs, so I hope that's the case here. The one with the truck and 2x is probably frunk, which would be a nice feature.

Idle thought that probably won't be very popular. Since Slate is "only what you need", one off-the-wall idea is that they should have just sold it as a flatbed. And the bed walls are an accessory kit. It would have shaved another grand or more off the price. And imagine third parties building different bed solutions you could just bolt in.

For instance, somebody might have offered fold down bed walls. Or stake beds. Or camper shells where they bolt to the flatbed.

From the picture on the website looks like there's both x2 for Frunk and x2 for probably precondition.

That'd be cool, an option for stepside would be nice, but looking at the frame I think the bed is needed structurally, especially with the battery weight under it, as the 'frame' isn't a full ladder frame there'd probably be some flex without it.

I think they could have made it a flatbed by adjusting the structure, but I also think going from flatbed to pickup / SUV may have looked a little more tacky. The pickup bed as it is makes for a more natural break when converting to SUV.

That said, I bet in the early design discussions they did consider making it a flatbed since they also considered not even outfitting it with AC.
