does the remote have a trunk lock? So the tailgate has a remote lock?

What is the x2 button?

They also couldn't confirm the roll bar isn't included in the cargo topper option.
That's interesting because when I was talking to them I pressed on the details on the topper and they said the cargo kit would be the same topper as the SUV without rollbar but will have a safety partition.

Cargo - topper with partition
Open air - seats with rollbar
SUV - topper, seats, and rollbar.

They also mentioned that it wouldn't be physically possible to install the seats without the rollbar in place.

I guess we must assume the production phone cradle will have some adjustability to it.

Correct. Here is a closeup of the phone dock mounted on a slide, which allows for adjustments. Will also be used for the tablet mount.

Has anyone asked, or seen if the phone dock can handle thick phone cases. I have had a rather interesting experience of phone docks not working out because of the phone protective cover/case.

Were you able to get a look at the cradle to see how the phone is held, and any potential issues with the connection plug.

If you zoom in on the pic, you can see the piece of plywood they drilled the rails to.
I believe the screws into the wood, not rails to wood, are going into the bed to secure the plywood to the bed. Are they existing holes? Not sure.
I would have to find a pic of a bed with no mods.

I bet there is some 2x4 behind the plywood fitting in tge gaps I'm not sure how it would be secured unless there are mounting holes there 🤔

I'm thinking that the stake sides are not going to be an accessory available for the consumer. Seems too fragile to me. It looks like 1x2s that would snap off with not much lateral loading. Also, needs to have a transverse section to protect the back window. It does look cool though.

Thanks for the pics! I don't think they'll ever come to Arkansas, the first Slate I see might be the one with my name on it when it gets delivered.
Don’t feel lonely, I have same thoughts. But if I can be an delivery I am more than willing to share around the island.

I was referring to the actual dock (holder apparatus) adjustability to fit various phone models (i.e. sizes, plug type, plug location, etc.). Where its position is along the slide rail is another topic as well.

Reminds me of my older brother's 1970's Toyota SR pickup truck. The bed was not constructed of double-wall sides (like American pickups were for decades prior) and anything hard and of weight sliding around in the bed, like a toolbox, would put an outward dent on the bed walls. :CWL:

He had to rig plywood inserts on the inside of the bed to prevent inverse dings.
