they won’t really even let you touch it. I wanted to try rolling the window on the door that was open, but that wasn’t allowed. Pretty sure the window cranks don’t work on these models.
Basically they are still prototypes that have some 3d printed parts where production will have injection molded for example, and while it works for seeing how it will look, it's not as strong as the final product. I'm sure when they were letting people sit in it and roll the windows etc, people were being "extra rough" slamming doors, yanking on handles, etc., to see if stuff breaks, "test the build quality" and eventually stuff started breaking, because it was rapid prototype parts, not final parts.
I can attest to this. At the Olympia, WA event, people were definitely too rough with it. We got to sit in it and poke around, but I think people ruined it for everyone. By the time it got to Olympia, the dash cover for the glovebox storage pocket thingy was broken, the left window crank was broken, etc. People were not being delicate. People suck sometimes.
I do agree that the cab is surprisingly spacious. I know they let people sit in it at the Cleveland event. They definitely weren't made to be abused though. I saw someone open and close the passenger door which was clearly blocked off. They said they didn't want people closing and opening the back (it was an SUV) and I felt the mesh material on the dash and it fell off (guessing I wasn't the first to do that) so I get why they stopped.
