If the Slate doesn't materialize, I'm hoping the VW ID.2/ID.GTI comes to the US. Both the Slate and ID.2 would be perfect commuter cars for work; 12 miles each way, charging available at work.

I want to try EV. I like how modular this platform would be. If I was to pick right now, I would order a lowered blank slate and put a gloss carbon fiber wrap on it. I might add factory trifold tonneau if I felt it was of good quality. I like that this truck would fit in my garage next to my RSX, Slate is 2 inches longer. (My Maverick is too long and dont fit i my garage).

As a past VW owner (and two time GTI owner), I’m more than a little curious about this upcoming electric GTI.
