Changes to Pre-Order Page

Folks I installed Distill last week to monitor changes to the pre-order page. An alert popped up just now at 10:36 showing changes to the page. Some of you are more familiar with the contents than most, please check if these are indeed new info?

A few tweaks maybe? Can't remember. The " PS. The sooner you preorder, the earlier you receive your delivery window. So don’t wait! " may indeed be new.

I thought we got our delivery window based on our reservation and had 30 days to pre-order to lock in the window. That seems like a significant change to me.

This seemed odd to me too, unless it's directed at people that don't have reservations and are now going to pre-order theirs. Our reservations lock us ahead of them.

Well here we go with speculation again. I'm going to presume we'll be presented with a delivery window. As pre-orders come in over the 30 days, perhaps that window could slip. OR, it is talking about your place in the window (front or back).

In any case, that web site is going to be STRESSED in 30 hours.

You are correct. That was referring to those that have no reservation before the 24th. Reservations close on the 24 th according to that, so everyone that does not have a pre reservation will fall in line later.

I believe this applies to non reservation holders. At least hope so. I wonder what happens to a web site when 100,000 people push the pre order button at the same time?

Prediction, this is based on Slate statements and my experience pre ordering vehicles;
If first deliveries are supposed to begin before the end of 2026, I predict deliveries will start the week before Christmas, in that case they will probably be a 6 to 8 week order time which means orders should start to be taken late October to early November. Warm up your bank accounts!

What seems perfectly clear:

1. Reservation holders will see their assigned "delivery window" tomorrow.
2. Reservation holders who convert their reservation to a preorder within 30 days get "priority timing" vs. non-reservation preorders.
3. Non-reservation (or expired reservation) preorders get their delivery window based on when they preorder.

What isn't clear:

• Do reservation holders get earlier placement within their assigned delivery window based on preorder conversion time?

Their wording is clear as dirt. We are parsing this thing like obscure bible versus. Hopefully it will make more sense in a day.

Does anyone know if after you place the $250 deposit ($300 non refundable), can it be transferred to someone else ?

I am worried I might have a change of heart after test driving it prior to finalizing the order....

Doubt it. The reservation fine print specifically prohibits this. I'd expect similar language when you press the pre-order button.
