I don’t know about a 2023 as there are a finite number of them in existence. (62,045 sold originally in US). As far as the 2027 goes, Slate better hope not as Chevy only sold 791 new ones in first quarter of availability after several years of not making them.

I love my 2023 chevy bolt euv, I will love the slate more.

My daughter hit a curb in a parking lot at an angle (not straight on) when making a turn in the bolt. She claims it wasnt high speed. It destroyed the CV joint detached the axle etc. $2500 repair

Im hoping the slate is sturdier. The bolt definitely feels flimsy.

My tundra easily hops curbs.

Most 2023 bolts are EUV, I got an EV.

Absolutely! It's definitely competition for the fastback SUV variant if you don't need it to be a truck. The Bolt hatchback is not that different. I don't think the Bolt is as repairable or customizeable or utilitarian, so in the long term I think the Slate will win, but if you plan to sell either one after 2 years and only operate them in-warranty, a used Bolt will be way more affordable than a new Slate.

Ask the same question about a used 2027 Bolt or a used 2027 Slate in 2030, and I think the results might be very different, but we're not in 2030 yet. And somebody has to buy that 2027 Slate in order for it to exist on the used market in 2030!

Anything can be "competition" if you really want it to be... It's just a matter of by what criteria it's being judged.
